A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:
 
There's no time like the present and summer is seductive... so Dive Into Pride! Motor City Pride 2005. Do it today. Get into it, along with the multitudes coming out to the Ferndale streets proclaiming the diversity and excitement of Michigan's gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.

There's more than just great weather and the approaching summer to get you to take the dive... There is the reality that we are a strong and a vibrant community. We are a community that has weathered attacks and assaults --- politically, physically, emotionally, spiritually, culturally --- and have continued on to be proud and beautiful. In fact, we celebrate our accomplishments, our ideals, or progress and our dignity at Motor City Pride.

We celebrate our Community.

Today is only a platform, a big fabulous platform, from which we are poised to make that big beautiful swan dive into the rest of the summer and the rest of the year with pride, passion and personality. Every day is Pride Day. Today is just the beginning. Take the plunge... Dive into Pride!
