The 2nd Annual Motor City Pride Idol Contest!
Motor City Pride is a celebration of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Allied Communities.

Are you a new and upcoming star and no one knows it yet?
Motor City Pride is excited to announce...

The Auditions: At the Rainbow Room, Thursday, April 14th at 8:00 P.M.
Applications... YES, it is necessary to apply in advance! Deadline is April 13*
Applications are now being taking at the Rainbow Room, 6640 E. 8 Mile Rd Detroit, MI 48234.
Twenty lucky individuals will be selected to perform at the Motor City Pride Idol competition in front of an all-star panel of judges which includes Barbara Payton, Last Year’s Motor City Pride Idol Ava Rogers, Kathy Bouknight, and other musical artists.

The Competition: 8 p.m., Saturday, April 16th
The 2004 Motor City Pride Idol will be announced that evening.

barbara paytonThe Winner will receive the title of Motor City Pride Idol 2005 and over $1000.00 in Cash and Prizes.

The Winner will perform live on stage Barbara Payton Band
Saturday, April 16th at The Rainbow Roomand at Motor City Pride on Sunday, June 5th, 2005!

The finalists will also receive prizes including: CD’s from Barbara Payton, Jewelry by Kris, special nights out at fine Restaurants including Como’s of Ferndale, and door covers free to the Rainbow Room. The Motor City Pride Idol will also be publicized in the Motor City Pride Guide and any publication that announces the winner before, during, or after pride. The winner may be invited back for future performances.

This event is sure to become one of the biggest in Motor City Pride’s history!
*The song must be no longer than 2 minutes long, with no longer than 30 second verbal introduction of oneself. This will done through a Karaoke System. You must be at least 18 years of age. All submissions must be actual vocal performance by the individual performing . (Please note which before starting to sing) Lip-syncing is not allowed. All entries must be from
a nonprofessional musician/vocalist.
